McCombs Alum Delivers the 2006 MPA/PPA Commencement Address The Honorable Bill Archer graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1949 with a BBA with Honors, and in 1951 with a LLB with Honors. Archer, the Senior Policy Advisor to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, has been recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus by the University of Texas, as well as the recipient of many other awards. During his 30 years as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Archer fought for tax cuts and a simpler Tax Code that promotes investment, savings and the ability of U.S. companies to compete in global markets. University of Texas at Austin Conference Addresses Corporate Governance for Early-Stage Companies The University of Texas at Austin's IC2 Institute, School of Law and the Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship hosted a major conference on corporate governance for directors and officers of early stage companies on Thursday, May 25, at The Houstonian Hotel in Houston. The event, now in its second year, is designed to aid pre- and post-IPO companies navigate the complex world of corporate governance. Learn more about the event.
