Norman Caldera, BBA ’70, parlayed his marketing degree into a career as a diplomat, presidential adviser and international economic consultant and writer. His circle includes dignitaries such as Vicente Fox and Felipe Calderón of Mexico, and in his role as foreign minister and trade minister for Nicaragua, has met President George W. Bush, President Jimmy Carter and President George H. Bush, Sr., Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, former Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev, former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Perez and former U.N. New Halliburton Summer Institute: Intensive Program for Non-Business Majors
Halliburton contributed $250,000 to The University of Texas to launch the Halliburton Summer Business Foundations Institute, serving students from any area of undergraduate study. A large percentage of the money from Halliburton will be used for scholarships. Read more.
